The Dyson Air Multiplier is certainly innovative but for the money I think it has a several shortcomings. First, there is no remote control. Even the $40 "tower" type fan it replaced had a multifunction remote control. Second, it's a lot noisier than I expected, even at slow speeds. Lastly, it seems to "compete" with the sound from my TV, not necessarily the volume of the noise but perhaps the frequency of the sound. It does however move air nicely. -- Not quite what I expected
This is not a fan as they say it is a Air multiplier. It creates a breeze but it doesn't "blow" on you. It is a little loud, with a high pitched sound but you get used to it. I do like that it is easy to keep clean. My husband has trouble with hay fever and dust when using a regular fan. The Dyson keeps the air moving and cool at night in our bedroom while keeping the dust down. It works good for this purpose as I can keep it clean so it has helped with keeping his allergies at bay. -- Better than a fan for allergies.
