The DC18 replacement stretch hose includes the "U" bed and slides right over the wand handle. The hose is delivered in the generic steel gray version that matches the steel gray found on all Dyson vacuums (COLOR will differ from photo). Installation does not require any tools. Simply press the release from the "U" elbow and slide out the wand. Install the replacement in the same manner, simply reverse the procedure.
